Eyelash Extensions are individual synthetic fibres made of PBT curved to replicate the shape of natural eyelashes. They vary in length, thickness and volume. They are tailored to each clients natural eyelashes, eye shape and preference to create a totally personalised enhancement of your lashes.

They are designed to shed the same way as your natural lashes, so with proper after care they will last anywhere from 3-6 weeks. The ongoing maintenance is generally required every 2-3 weeks.

It is very important to follow proper aftercare to maintain eyelash extensions, This includes not using oil based products on or around the eyes, no mascara on your eyelashes and a range of other steps that can easily be found in the FAQ section of our website.

It can take anywhere from 45 mins to 2 hours to apply a full set of eyelash extensions, as each extension is placed individually on each natural eyelash. During this process, you will be laying on a comfortable bed in our private salon, a collagen pad will be applied under your eye and each extension will be applied with a specially designed adhesive 1-2 mm from skin onto a natural lash. At the end of the process you will be well rested and glamorous!

Traditionally eyelash extensions are black but at Maisy’s Lash and Brow lounge we stock a large variety of coloured eyelash extensions, glitter lashes and lash charms!

The best way to take care of your eyelash extensions is to follow the correct aftercare procedures.

These are:

• Avoid oil based products on and around your eyes

• DO NOT wet your lashes within 6 hours of application as the glue has not fully cured.

• Cleanse your lashes with a lash shampoo EVERY DAY if you wear makeup or have oily skin or 2-3 times per week if you have normal to dry skin and do not wear makeup.

• Always cleanse your lashes with a lash shampoo to remove makeup from them, never use a makeup wipe or makeup remover on your lashes.

• Try to avoid sleeping on your face

• DO NOT rub, pick or touch your lashes, they should only be touched when cleansing and brushing

• Keep your lashes away from heat sources such as ovens, BBQ's and lighters.

• Maintain your lashes with regular infills every 2-3 weeks

• ALWAYS see a trained professional for the removal of your lashes

INFILL POLICY : At Maisy’s Lash and Brow Lounge we do not infill over any other salon or technicians work. We offer a free removal if you choose to come to us and are booking in for a full set.

Hybrid dye is a brow dye with long lasting results on both the skin and brow hairs. It is a relatively new product that is a hybrid mix of henna and tint. The dye can stain the skin for up to 2 weeks and hairs for up to 7 weeks with proper aftercare.

Eyebrow Laminations are a relatively new service. It is a chemical process that relaxes the brow hairs allowing them to become more flexible and easily styled into your desired shape. The service takes around 1-1.5 hours to complete and results in soft fluffy brows.
